VendorRate Reports Iron Speed Races Past All IT Vendors to Post Highest Customer Satisfaction Score
Q1 Report Shows AT&T, Bell Canada Rated at Bottom in All 10 Service Criteria

LOS GATOS, Calif. – April 16, 2009 – VendorRate (www.vendorrate.com), the only Web-based business information service that offers quick, confidential performance ratings and comparisons of technology vendors, announced today that software development tools maker Iron Speed surged to the best customer satisfaction score of all IT and telecom vendors in the first quarter of 2009.

During the same period, technology pros rated both AT&T and Bell Canada lowest in all ten performance criteria, the first time any individual vendor received the bottom scores in every rating category. Both posted a cumulative score of 53.

“Once again the telecom sector sinks to the bottom of all lists,” said Rick Schaefer, CEO of VendorRate. “Either telecom vendors don’t get it or they don’t seem to care. Meanwhile, the smaller IT vendors are beginning to push out the larger ones for the overall best ratings.

“The quarterly report also identifies top resellers and consultants for the first time,” added Schaefer. “Vendors who provide the ‘final mile’ of service and implementation are proving to be just as important as primary vendors.”

Iron Speed received an overall score of 97, four points higher than second-place Informix. Security encryption maker BOSaNOVA was third with a 91. Among resellers, Newegg and PC connection tied for the highest score with 91. Oracle consultant Cloud Creek Systems took top consultant honors with a 93.

VendorRate users rate vendors confidentially on ten specific performance criteria that include customer service, reliability, integrity, budget and effectiveness. The results produce a cumulative score up to 100.

The report summarizes customer satisfaction ratings entered by technology professionals at the VendorRate website, trade shows, professional conferences, and virtual events. VendorRate also collects rating information by cooperating with user groups, trade associations, event management, and IT and telecom departments from organizations of all sizes. VendorRate is vendor neutral and accepts neither vendor sponsorship nor advertising.
